As Indonesian, we need to apply for Sri Lanka visa to be able to visit the country. Visa application in Sri Lanka is issued electronically, under ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) System. It is an official authorization for a short visit to Sri Lanka. ETA holders will be granted a 30-days visit visa to Sri Lanka.
How to apply
The application process is simple and efficient through an online system. Before you apply, make sure you have:
- A valid passport
- Return trip tickets
- Prove of sufficient funds to cover expenses during your stay
To apply for the visa, you need to go online and visit this page. Fill all of the details required, pay the fee using your electronic payment cards, and submit the application. Once you submitted the application, you will get an electronic acknowledgment sent to your email.
You can check your application status on this link, 24-hours after submitting the application. You just need to enter your passport number and your nationality.
You will get an approval notice sent to your email once your visa is approved. The approval should look like the picture below.
Fees
Here is the fee for Sri Lanka visa via ETA:
- Tourist visa with double entry valid for 30 days: USD 35
- Transit visa with single entry valid for 2 days: free
- Children with any nationalities under 12 years old: free
